Here’s some more of our top tips to ensure a safe and comfortable experience whilst wearing your carnival lenses:
- Before opening your lenses, check that they are what you ordered. The lens measurements will be on the box and should match your own optical measurements. If you have received the incorrect lenses, please contact our customer services.
- If your lenses are correct, you should check the lenses and packaging for any damage. If the blister pack or vial appears to be open or the lenses themselves are damaged, they should not be inserted into the eye.
- Purchase sterile contact lens solution and a case with your contact lenses. Your lenses should be soaked in a fresh multipurpose lens solution for at least 2 hours before inserting; the solution that the lenses arrive in within the blister pack or glass vial is much stronger due to a higher pH level and this can cause irritation to the eye.
- You should only wear your contact lenses for a maximum of 8 consecutive hours and they should not be slept in.
- If your lenses are for daily use, they should be disposed of after removal. If you have purchased multi day contact lenses, these should be gently rinsed after removal with sterile lens solution to remove any debris and left to soak in fresh solution in a tightly sealed contact lens case.
