You might not have expected to see a spooky Valentine’s Day makeup look, but @slightlyspookymua knows exactly how to put a twist on her usual aesthetic. Whilst Bella successfully created a ghostly appearance with deepened dark eyes to give us all the creeps, this look featured a clear portrayal of the Valentine aesthetic. Vivid red hearts trail from Bella’s hairline, down across her cheeks and her neck to join and create a love heart necklace. To complete this look, drawing on that vibrant red tone that we see so much during Valentine's period, Bella finished her look off with a red bow in her hair, a red lace dress and the Queen of Hearts Contact Lenses.
Using the trending Tape Makeup method, @leahcomptonn transported us with this hypnotic heart makeup! To create this look, Leah has applied tape to her face just above and below the eyes and created her heart visual in the middle space. The same method has been used above and below the lips too! This inspired Valentine’s makeup look is mesmerising, and the method of application draws attention perfectly to the eyes which Leah has transformed by using the Red Mini Sclera contact lenses. Leah has kept the rest of her makeup fairly simple, adding only a small amount of glitter to the cheeks and forehead and freestyling some smaller hearts around the face.
Are you a fan of your creepy makeup aesthetics? Why not incorporate this into the theme? @klaudialichmanmakeup didn’t hesitate when it came to creating a Valentine’s-inspired creative makeup look and we completely fell for her pink and black skull look! Whilst this look is a skeleton look, Klaudia has carefully added features that allow the romantic flair to stand out amongst the spooky result. The vibrant pink face paint is a refreshing and bold change from the classic skull makeup look; Klaudia has also painted the eye sockets into the shape of hearts, once again touching on that Valentine’s vibe. To finish off this look, the UV Pink Optical contact lenses have been added to this interesting makeup look; did you know these contact lenses can glow in black light?
Maybe a creepy Valentine’s clown is your vibe for this year - it’s certainly ours and @emmaisasink. Known for her creepy creative makeovers, Emma has perfectly worked the Valentine theme into her style of work and produced her own play on clown makeup. Featuring the well-known white clown face paint, Emma has emphasised the romantic aesthetic in her look by incorporating large love hearts around her eyes which become the focal point of this look. You will also see that Emma has also added an optical illusion by painting a collar around her neck, but the way that she has included shadows makes the accessory look as though it could be real!
To complete this Valentine’s makeup look, Emma added the Funky Lenses Halloween Black contact lenses. These contact lenses are highly versatile and can be used in so many different makeup designs, not just those focused on a terrifying result!
Having mentioned a Valentine makeup theme to our affiliates, we weren't quite expecting a Love Robot but @makeupbyemilycarey came through and we absolutely adore this look! Emily’s robot makeup features a generous amount of details that can be seen especially on the neck; for this look, we recommend using a highly pigmented paint palette such as from Mehron to ensure your colours appear prominent! We love this twist on robot makeup, with the addition of the hearts on each cheek and between the collarbones; we are especially drawn to the gridded heart that sits over the left eye. Emily chose to keep her contact lenses quite natural; for this look, she is wearing the Raya Blue contact lenses.
