Funky Lenses offers a range of blind white, red, and black eye contact lenses. Blind contact lenses are popular among cosplayers, Halloween trick-or-treaters, and special effect enthusiasts. Can you see in blind contact lenses?

No, due to blind contact lenses covering your pupil, your vision is drastically reduced by up to 80%. You will only have 20% vision. You will not have clear vision; therefore, it is recommended that you do not wear blind lenses while performing any tasks that require clear vision, such as walking, driving, or operating machinery.

The best occasion to wear blind eye contacts is for a photoshoot. The blind effect contact lenses give a striking effect to the eye by completely blanking out the pupil and iris but this does come at the cost of not being able to see through them. If you enjoy creative makeup, simply wear them for the photoshoot to capture your epic shot.

Bestselling Blind Contact Lenses

Our bestselling blind lenses are our blind white contact lenses that can be worn to dress up as a zombie for a truly gruesome look. The white pupil and iris completely blank out your eye, blending your iris and pupil with the color of your sclera. The spooky effect of the white blind contacts can also be used to create comic book characters that have unusual eyes as well as classic Halloween ghouls.

The blind red contact lenses can be worn to cosplay as a range of comic book and anime characters. The vibrant red pigmentation covers your iris and pupil to give a bright blood red color. Pair the lenses with gruesome SFX makeup or add to anime and comic book characters to create a unique eye design.

The blind black lenses are ideal for dressing up as a demon and are sometimes used by people who want to block the light to their eyes. The black color that covers the iris and pupil, blends into one to create an intense blackout design.

All of these blind effect colored contacts will significantly reduce vision because they cover your pupil but the amount of light that a blind contact lens will allow to enter your eye will depend on the pigmentation. For example, our customers usually report that black contact lenses block out more light than white contact lenses.

Is there a contact lens that blocks vision?

Sensory deprivation contact lenses are designed to reduce the amount of light that can enter your eye. Some people try these lenses to experience sensory deprivation while those with vision problems may find it easier to block out their iris in order to reduce light or to help with problems such as double vision.

Our blind contact lenses no pupil are made for costume purposes so make sure to contact your eye doctor first if you are looking for contact lenses that reduce or block vision to check suitability.

We sometimes stock additional colors of blind contact lenses for special occasions such as Halloween so if you are interested in other styles look out for seasonal shades such as grey and blue.

If you want to get the effect of a blind lens without completely obscuring your vision, you may like the mesh and screen colored contact lenses. These designs have small clear squares in the design to allow some light and vision to remain while still offering a complete change to the aesthetic of your eyes.

Blind contact lenses offer the most dramatic change of any of our colored contact lenses and are often used for scary Halloween makeup, creative makeup editorials, and cosplay. Just remember this epic transformation will limit your vision. Make sure you are confident with inserting and removing contact lenses and have someone on hand to help. Complete your photoshoot in style with blind colored contacts and enjoy the amazing results of these incredible SFX lenses.
